Yes you can, from within your 'My Account' area you can let us know that you wish to donate your reward. Simple tick the box and your reward shall go to your charity. Remember if you do this and you are eligible for Gift Aid, your charity can receive 107% of your donation.
Giving Aid do not store any credit card details, the banks themselves are the only organisations that hold your credit card data for payments.
You details are only kept for the use of the administration of the Giving Aid system, this also includes the requirement to submit your details for Gift Aid claims by your charity. This follows the current government guidelines.
I can't find my charity, how do I donate to that charity?
You can nominate your favourite charity if you cannot find it within the system. We only accept registered charities, so we you would need to use the Charity registration number to nominate the charity.
Your donation goes a long way, if you donate any reward due and you are eligible for Gift Aid, your charity can receive 107% of your donation. But if you cannot claim Gift Aid and want to keep your rewards then the charity will not ever recieve less than 60% of the donation. Remember however that Giving Aid expect that with your efforts through our system a charity would enjoy 700% more donations from people that would normally not have the opportunity to donate.
What happens if I stop my donations to a charity?
You can of course stop any payments to a charity at any time. Remember that your charity will lose out on your donation, but any people that you have introduced will be unaffected by your choice. You will however NOT be able to claim any rewards not yet claimed or any future rewards that may be available from your introduced friends. If you stop and start again, you will be able to claim your future rewards. This is also the case if your credit card expires or does not clear for any reason.
If your decide to completely unregister, then you will not have any relationship with your existing network of friends that you introduced. You can of course register and start the process again. Remember that your charity will lose out on your donation, but any people that you have introduced will be unaffected by your choice. You will however NOT be able to claim any rewards not yet claimed or any future rewards that may be available from your introduced friends.
How is my reward calculated?
When you pass on the recommendation to a friend, the relationship to that friend is confirmed. If they donate to charity via the system, then you get a reward of £2 available to you every month whilst they continue to pay. These rewards are only available whilst all parties are donating to charity and have live accounts with Giving Aid.
How do I invite friends to donate?
If you pass on the recommedation via the Giving Aid system in your account, then your friends or contacts will be sent an email with a link to register with a connection to your account. You will also have a reference that your contacts can also use if you do not have their email address. If they use that reference then they will again be linked to your account. We cannot accept any responsibility for contacts that register outside of these methods.
